The Current Crisis

Too often after education, our young people are offered unsuitable homes with much older residents in busy towns, in cramped properties, or isolated away from peers and family. The reality is that there is very little accommodation for those with more severe needs such as profound autism, severe learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities. Many cannot live in their own county and are forced to live miles away from loved ones.

Our Approach

We are a group of parents who are passionate about our profoundly disabled young adults living together in appropriately designed 'forever homes'. Our young people need to live with a suitable peer group in a spacious semi rural location, near to family. They need activities on site as well as involvement with the local community.

We work with parents, providers and the local authority to achieve these goals.

We are The Surrey Forever Homes Foundation.
